Chiyoda-ku, Japan
About this listing
This model faithfully reproduces the 1959 Melody Maker, which was originally released as a student model for beginners. It features a single-cutaway, slim-profile mahogany body, a one-piece mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard, one single-coil pickup, and white button-style tuners. Near the 8th fret on the back of the neck, the finish has peeled off over an area about 4 centimeters wide, exposing the wood, and the neck feels uneven when gripped. There is uneven paint and discoloration at the body end, likely caused by a stand, as well as discoloration on the back of the neck near the 3rd fret, and there are playing scratches on the pickguard. There are some other signs of wear and discoloration, but the overall condition is good.
