About this listing
This 1967 Gibson Heritage acoustic dreadnought with a solid spruce top, and solid Brazilian Rosewood back and sides is a fantastic sounding instrument with a clear, balanced tone, is an excellent choice for recording. The 25 1/2" scale and 1 9/16" nut width make this a comfortable neck to play for hours on end. Ebony fingerboard on a straight neck with low, easy action. Ebony bridge with adjustable ebony saddle. Tortoiseshell celluloid binding on top and back is intact, showing some wear on the back bottom bout (compare top binding photo with bottom photo to see difference). We just completed an in-house neck reset and fret file, so this guitar is good to go for a long time. Structurally sound with no breaks, cracks, or loose braces. There is some lacquer checking, and a few marks on the face that lighting made look more severe than they actually are (see photos). This was stamped "imperfect" by the factory and Gibson label x'd out, but our inspection finds nothing wrong structurally. We have two theories why it may be so: 1. It may have left the factory needing a neck reset2. The grain on the back has an odd pattern to it, which they may have deemed "imperfect." (see photo). Will ship professionally setup, and includes a non-original hard case.GUITAR BAR is a store located in Hoboken, NJ, and we actually enjoy dealing with humans, so feel free to reach out with any questions. Local pickup and inspection is always ok.
