I am offering a Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard Figured DC Rust from 2024, a handcrafted at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee (USA), luxury model of the Les Paul Standard featuring a weight-reduced mahogany body (3.83 kg total weight!), spectacular flamed maple top, set mahogany neck with long neck tenon, ergonomically shaped neck-to-body transition, and SlimTaper “C” neck profile, bound rosewood fingerboard with celluloid trapezoid inlays, two powerful Gibson 490R and 498T humbucker pickups, high-quality Grover Rotomatic chrome tuners and Floyd Rose tremolo system in a brilliant DC Rust nitrocellulose high-gloss finish with cream-white binding in mint condition including black Gibson luxury hardshell case, manufacturer’s papers and professional setup with 9-gauge Elixir strings.This Floyd Rose “Superstrat” interpretation of the 2024 Gibson Les Paul Axcess from the Gibson Custom Shop combines hand-selected specs with the traditional Les Paul Standard look and a playability more commonly found in modern high-performance instruments to create an instrument of the ultimate top class.Like the coveted vintage Paulas of the 1950s, this guitar features a mahogany body, a strikingly figured flamed maple top, a long-tenon mahogany neck glued deep into the body, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with bold trapezoid celluloid inlays. But that’s where the traditional Paula similarities end. Starting with the body, the back features an ergonomic cutout for the belly, allowing the guitar to nestle against the body’s contours. At the same time, thanks to the Modern Weight Relief, the weight is a mere 3.83kg, making even hours-long music sessions a pleasure for the back.Above all, however, the neck stands out, as the neck-to-body transition is ergonomically shaped to blend seamlessly, which makes accessing the high frets incredibly easy and thus presents no obstacles to virtuoso solos. Combined with the slim Slim Taper C neck profile, the guitar sits perfectly in the hand and plays smoothly across all 22 medium jumbo frets.The long tenon construction guarantees a particularly creamy sustain while delivering the powerful punch and rich tone characteristic of a Les Paul. This is also ensured by the two 490R neck and 498T bridge humbuckers, which impress with warm, open clean tones and singing lead sounds, all the way up to higher output with a tight bass foundation and pronounced assertiveness.
