About this listing
A 2007 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection SG Standard VOS Faded Cherry has arrived! This is part of the Historic Collection series, crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop as a reissue of legendary instruments. It features a one-piece mahogany body and a rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a slim profile, offering exceptional playability. Equipped with a stop tailpiece, this guitar delivers powerful sustain. Weighing in at 3.32 kg, it is a lightweight instrument true to the SG model and is very easy to handle. The finish is "Faded Cherry," which recreates the faded hue of a cherry-colored guitar. The VOS finish gives it a slightly subdued sheen, lending it the classic vintage SG vibe. It is equipped with the original "Burst Bucker 1 & 2" pickups. These vintage-style humbuckers faithfully reproduce the "PAF" pickup, delivering the warm, full-bodied tone characteristic of humbuckers. This is a truly captivating guitar that delivers a powerful, edgy sound even when distorted. Regarding its condition, there are scratches, dents, and scuff marks visible throughout the body. There is a buckle mark on the back of the body. Additionally, the parts show signs of discoloration, and the pickup covers have both discoloration and blue rust. The guitar has been refretted and re-nuted, and the 3rd and 4th string tuners have been replaced from the originals. The truss rod cover is partially chipped, and due to the rod being tightened, there is a crack in the veneer at the screw hole. There are also signs that the wiring has been re-soldered. Although the truss rod is currently tightened, there are no issues when playing the guitar as is. While this instrument shows signs of use, including the replaced parts, it is a high-quality Custom Shop model! Please consider this opportunity!!
