Johnny Marr is celebrated as the dynamic guitarist, arranger, and songwriter behind the Smiths, the band that redefined U.K. pop in the 1980s. Renowned for his mastery of melody, layering, and texture, Marr has contributed his distinctive style across collaborations with The The, the Pretenders, Modest Mouse, and the Cribs, as well as in his solo career and numerous guest appearances. Now, Marr has partnered with Fender to bring a fresh twist to his signature model: the Limited Edition Johnny Marr Signature Special Jaguar. This exceptional version of the classic Jaguar features a glossy nitrocellulose black lacquer finish and combines custom-wound Kent Armstrong lipstick pickups with Marr’s personal wiring scheme. The result is an expansive tonal palette, from bright, chimey rhythms to smooth, singing leads. With meticulous attention to detail, including the gloss lacquer and vintage-style tuners, this guitar seamlessly blends classic aesthetics with modern engineering, offering musicians unparalleled playability and sonic possibilities.
