Electro Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 – Versatile fuzz with advanced tone shapingThe Electro Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 is a powerful fuzz pedal featuring dual op-amps and extensive sound-shaping capabilities. Combining the classic Big Muff character with a Wicker circuit, onboard noise gate and expression-controlled midrange frequency, it offers exceptional flexibility for guitarists and bassists alike. The pedal delivers the signature Big Muff sustain and rich, saturated fuzz while providing far greater tonal control than traditional designs. Controls include Volume, Tone, Sustain, Gain, EQ and Blend, allowing you to finely balance your direct and effected signals. The WICKER switch unlocks two additional levels of high-frequency filtering, enhancing clarity and presence in the upper register. A dedicated parametric midrange section features its own footswitch, a Hi/Lo Q selector and adjustable Frequency and Level controls for precise midrange shaping. An Expression input allows real-time control of the MIDS FREQ parameter, transforming the pedal into an aggressive fuzz-wah effect. The input supports both expression pedals and CV signals. The multifunction footswitch operates as both a standard on/off switch and a momentary trigger. Hold it down for temporary bursts of fuzz intensity whenever needed.FeaturesFuzz pedal with dual op-ampsVolume, Tone and Sustain controlsWicker switch adds two additional treble levelsParametric midrange control with Hi Q/Lo Q switchDedicated footswitch for midrange sectionBlend control for mixing direct and effected signalsExpression input for expression pedal or CV signalBuffered bypassDual-function footswitch with latching or momentary operationPower supply includedSpecificationsEffect type: FuzzCircuit design: Dual op-amp architectureBuilt-in noise gateParametric midrange EQExpression/CV control of midrange frequencyBuffered bypassFAQ: Can the Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 be controlled with an expression pedal?
