Brazilian pedal builders Aura Amps are back with another brand-new stompbox called the Crunch Master from the town of Santo André, just south of São Paulo. Inspired by the sounds of rock icons like the Foo Fighters, the folks at Aura designed this distortion box to produce those almost suspiciously smooth, signature high-gain tones.
On the Crunch Masters' face, players will find five classic tone-shaping controls running across the top, similar to what you might find on a vintage 100-watt amp—presence, level, tone gain, and boost. The pedal also features an independent booster, which can be used in conjunction with the drive to increase gain, volume, and compression, or on its own for 35dB in boosted volume.
Be sure to check out the demo above in full to see what kinds of tones Andy is able to coax from this brand-new noisebox, and click here to grab your own right here on Reverb.
