For sale is a highly original Gibson Flying V2 from the late 1970s to early 1980s production era. This is one of Gibson’s most distinctive and short-lived designs, featuring the iconic boomerang-style pickup system and sculpted hardware unique to the V2 model.

The guitar features a laminated maple and walnut body with a natural-toned finish that highlights the multi-layer construction along the edges. It is fitted with an ebony fingerboard and a black headstock displaying the original Gibson and V2 inlays.

This example retains its original gold-plated hardware and presents in very good vintage condition with normal cosmetic wear consistent with age. The control cavity shows original factory wiring and layout typical of early V2 production, with no evidence of modification.
