Neve QP2 Quadrophonic Joystick

An extremely rare and specialised component designed for classic Neve mixing consoles. A collector’s item for those looking to restore vintage consoles.

It allows an audio signal to be positioned anywhere within a four-channel sound field (front left, front right, rear left and rear right).

Its mechanism uses a geared gimbal system to simultaneously drive two dual potentiometers (shown in the photos as the gold cylindrical components).

They are commonly found in custom Neve consoles from the 1970s, such as the 8058 or 8068 series, used for quadraphonic music recordings or early film mixes.

Its components include a sturdy aluminium frame and high-precision potentiometers to ensure a smooth and durable audio transition.
