CUBA LIBRE is a germanium fuzz based on the Marshall Supa Fuzz. Its circuit is nearly identical to the legendary Tone Bender Professional MKII; both share a three-germanium transistor configuration, which defines the aggressive, sustain-rich character typical of 1960s rock.

Although the electrical design is virtually the same, the Supa Fuzz stands out for its use of higher-value input coupling capacitors. This specific circuit variation allows more low-end frequencies to pass through, giving the pedal a darker and fuller voice compared to the standard MKII. Despite these minor differences in components, the dynamic response and distortion structure remain faithful to the original MKII architecture.

This version features a capacitor filter to adjust low frequencies, allowing a range from the original "super-bass" response of the Supa Fuzz to more modern tones and everything in between, including the classic MKII timbre.

Built on a phenolic PCB using TAD and IC capacitors with metal film resistors, this pedal is housed in a British Gapco enclosure featuring the colors of the Cuban flag.

NOS Russian transistors included: 1 x GT403, 1 x 1T320 and 1 x 1T309.
