Fantastic and very rare Firebird III. This guitar has a sweet Pelham blue finish which is Murphy aged (pre “Labs” era) so it has some light checking. It has a nice round neck and feels and plays fantastic.
The Maestro tailpiece is really interesting because it can be bypassed - since the bridge is wraparound you can just completely ignore the trem if you want, and that’s how I have it set up.
For my own use I modded it very slightly. It has straplocks installed, and the pickup selector switch has been replaced with a master volume (see second pic - this is obviously totally reversible). I also swapped out the original bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan “Seymourized” mini bucker because I wanted something hotter - but the original will be in the case for you.
The guitar is in the same shape I got it in and looks really sharp. The second image was taken outside at a show so you can see how the colour looks in the light. It’s great. It comes in the original hard case, which is excellent (and enormous).
This guitar rocks.
