2025 Del Toro Barrera Bass – Black / Gold Burst Nitro

There’s something timeless about a black-and-gold burst done right. This 2025 Del Toro Barrera Bass in Black / Gold Burst Nitro is built around that idea—classic, grounded, and confident, with a voice that feels wide, solid, and dependable.

The alder body provides a familiar tonal foundation with strong low-end weight, clear mids, and a smooth, controlled top end. The black-to-gold burst nitro finish adds depth and warmth visually, shifting subtly under different light and giving the bass a refined, almost understated elegance. Front and rear contours keep it comfortable against the body, and at approximately 9 lbs, it has a reassuring, solid feel without becoming cumbersome.

The one-piece maple neck is shaped into a comfortable Thin C profile, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and vintage rolled edges that make it feel immediately familiar in the hand. A 9.5" radius, medium/jumbo frets, and a smooth .835" → .900" taper allow the neck to feel fast and natural while still offering enough substance for confident fretting and consistent intonation across the board.

Electronics stay simple and purposeful. A Custom Handwound Del Toro 10K pickup delivers a thick, authoritative voice with strong fundamentals and a slightly aggressive midrange push that anchors a mix beautifully. Wired passive with 250K pots and a straightforward Volume / Tone layout, the Barrera keeps everything intuitive—plug in, set your level, and play!

This Barrera feels like a bass built for players who value consistency and authority—strong note fundamentals, a clean signal path, and a look that will never feel dated. It’s classic in the best sense of the word, with just enough refinement to make it unmistakably Del Toro.
