For sale is a phenomenal oddball from a short period of Fender‘s history. The 30 was designed by Ed Jahns to try and capture some of the momentum of the Mesa Boogie craze. This model was only made for two years prior to Paul Rivera taking over the amplifier end of Fender, but features many of the design elements and ideas that his series of amps would be known and loved for. This is an entirely handwired dual 6L6 tube amplifier with a number of great features. Two independent channels, the first with two inputs/volume/treble/bass and a bright switch. The second channel, the reverb channel, is where things get interesting. It features a three band eq, master volume, preamp gain knob and single reverb control. Each eq knob is push/pull adding a boost to he selected signal range, as well as a boost push/pull on the preamp gain knob. This allows a lot of big cascading gain sounds and a wild range of texture to be pulled out of this amp. The spring reverb is also tube driven to give that classic Fender drip.
This amp is in very good condition, with a few small nicks in the tolex and a small crack in the plastic covering of the drip edge around the speaker baffel.
Will consider shipping, but due to size and weight would like to sell for local pickup only.
