Extremely rare speakers found in a XVI century Palace in Spain that was abandonded since the 80's and is now being restored.
Both cabinets were custom made to fit a "rounder" hole in the wall.
I was told that these holes used to be without speakers centuries ago, so that the chamber musicians could play from the back room and the nobile people could do whatever they wanted without being seen...
I have pictures of where they were installed at, surrounded of painted walls and 8 meter tall ceilings all with paintings and marble floors.... at the "dancing hall".
Unfortunately, the amplifier system was missing.
I have no way to tell their age.
I have no way to test them, but the cones seem to be in perfect shape, along everything else.
If you think I could do some tests with a simple multi-meter, we could do a video chat.
They probably were the best speakers one could get in that era, as it was a very rich family owning that palace for centuries, at the very center of one of the most important cities in Spain.
Any questions are welcome.
