If you're looking at these pedals, you're perhaps wanting to play faster and with more control. There are plenty of videos about Demon Drive, but not enough praise about these wood beaters. With felt beaters, the pedal absorbs a bit, then comes back. With wood beaters, the bounce is quicker off the resonant bass drum head, as the absorption is less - The result is quicker energy transfer and faster strike power. You may like the wood beaters for some songs and felt beaters for other songs - You'll have 2 of each beater to hear the difference - They change out super-quick with the included tool.
