I designed this custom made Zendrum with Zendrum inventor David Haney and purchased it in 2022. It has never been used outside my smoke free studio in China, where I work as a U.S. citizen. David named it "ZIP60." It is in fact two ZAP 2's side-by-side in two independent units, customized with the features I learned to value over 10 years of playing various models of Zendrum: I want to play sitting down with the unit stable on my lap with comfortable access to as many drum kit pieces as possible. Zendrum firmware limits that to 30 per Zendrum, so the second unit is independent and parallel to the first. You program them separately, but I had David put the control units on opposite sides so that your thumbs can easily perform the same operations on both sides at the same time due to the almost symmetrical feel. Due to the parallel quality, it's as quick to program as one unified unit might have been. I put the two power-supplying MIDI DINs next to each other in one corner for less obtrusive cabling that has a minimalistic feel. It looks great, too. It has worked out wonderfully, but circumstances force me to part with it. If I ever buy a Zendrum again, it will be exactly this model---and David now has the blueprints ready to go.
This Zendrum is in perfect condition. It weighs 13lbs and looks and plays like new. The wenge wood is beautiful, and a little offbeat from the usual zebrawood that David Haney uses. I've owned several Zendrums, including some other custom creations that David has made for me. It has always worked perfectly, providing the rock-solid build required so that you can play it percussively with as much energy as you please without being bothered by any crosstalk whatsoever. I personally prefer the most sensitive possible setup, and even then, no crosstalk even when I play it with more energy. Zendrums are head and shoulders above all other hand- or finger-drummable percussion controllers--and I've tried them all.
This sale includes the two Merge Bricks, which powers the both of the ZAP 2's in this ZIP60 and also function as as two separate MIDI interfaces. You can also power the two sides of the ZIP60 directly with the two wall warts, then use some other MIDI interface. I'm also including the gig bag that David personally selected for this custom job. This is the best gig bag I've ever seen, offering about as much protection as you can get short of a hard case.

For the fastest and most economical way to ship out of China, which will take about 6 business days until delivery, I ship via DHL Express out of Hong Kong, where my partner assists me. I ship within 1 business day then provide a China SF domestic tracking number, but it may take up to 3 business days to provide DHL's international tracking number to track delivery to your address. That's because I must wait for my partner to send the international tracking number to me.
Total shipping is a flat $300 for this heavy parcel to any verified address, which is less than the actual cost to me. If your verified address is somewhere much more costly to ship to, then I reserve the right to actual shipping charges.
