The Guitar
This sharp looking 2012 Gibson Explorer Traditional Pro is in excellent condition. The sleek ebony top really looks sharp with the full body and neck binding. The rosewood neck is very smooth. Its very light and is a bit smaller in size compared to a standard Explorer. It's a wonderfully made guitar. Born Aug 25th, 2012 and #300 on the production line.
Condition:This guitar has been a closet queen and played only a handful of times since I bought it (2nd owner). It does have one ding just below the tone know (as pictured). I've provided many pictures to be as transparent as possible (as I request the same as a buyer). It was recently restrung and tested.
I'm selling because I have another (wine red) in my current collection. Please feel free to ask any questions!!!

Following in the tradition of several classic Gibson electric guitars, the Explorer Traditional Pro from Gibson USA has a body crafted from solid mahogany, with a glued-in quarter-sawn mahogany neck carved in a thin '60s profile and topped with a Grade-A rosewood fingerboard. Killer looks are assured by a genuine nitrocellulose lacquer finish in your choice of Ebony Black or Wine Red, given an added touch of elegance with cream binding around the body and fingerboard, and vintage amber "top hat" control knobs. The time-tested dimensions of a 24 3/4" scale length, a 1 11/16" nut width, and a 12" fingerboard radius ensures that legendary Gibson playability, too.
To take it all to the next dimension, the Explorer Traditional Pro carries two of Gibson USA's most popular humbucking pickups, a '57 Classic in the neck position for sweet, warm vocal tones, and a slightly hotter BurstBucker 3 in the bridge for gutsy crunch and soaring lead tones. These acclaimed units—both installed uncovered with exposed "zebra coil" bobbins—are made with genuine Alnico II magnets and wound with 42 AWG wire, just like the legendary PAFs of the late '50s and early '60s, and offer a blend of depth and clarity that few pickups can match today. A Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece ensure a solid anchor and optimum sustain, while a set of high-quality Mini Grover kidney button tuners grace the soaring six-a-side Explorer headstock. Whether you're ripping out fat classic rock, or laying down thundering modern metal, the Explorer Traditional Pro offers unbeatable tone, and undeniable style.
