Yamaha FG-411S acoustic guitar in excellent condition; solid spruce top; mahogany back and sides; neck and frets in great condition. Upgrades:
- GraphTech Tusq nut and bridge saddle
- Ebony bridge pins
- JLD Bridge Doctor - installed for the sound enhancement (there was nothing wrong with the top). If you're not familiar with the JLD, it was designed to flatten a bulging or bellied top, but it also makes a big improvement in the sound because the hardwood dowel acts as a sound-post between the bridge and end block, which transfers vibrations more efficiently to the back and sides (similar to the sound-post in orchestral string instruments), greatly improving the sound. Several guitar manufacturers actually install these at the factory.
- fretboard has been conditioned and frets polished
- setup nicely with medium/low action and Elixir PB strings
- comes with a brand new padded gigbag.
These upgrades make a huge difference!
