One pedal to throw in front of any rig. The PE-5 serves as a preamp, a direct box and a signal booster. In addition to a mute switch, you have an engage switch that allows you to bypass or activate your EQ and gain controls, perfect if your “dry” signal is your baseline and you want a particular EQ or boost for a secondary tone. This method works especially well into the front of an amp. Or, use the pedal as an always-on direct box to tailor your tone before sending your signal directly to your sound engineer or recording interface.
