1979 Tokai Les Paul Reborn LS-100 with Original Case
All original LS-100 with the original lifton style Tokai case. The most collectible of all MIJ Les Paul's. 100 is stamped on the end of the fretboard and stamped inside the pickup cavity to verify the model number. This guitar features a gorgeous SOLID Birdseye maple top and a one piece back in, I think, the best color they came in. I swapped the tuners out for a set of vintage Klusons but I will put the original Tokai tuners on before she ships out.
This Tokai features the fattest neck I have come across in a Tokai. It's not super fat but it is slightly larger than all the other Tokai's I have owned. It's a nice chunky 1959 profile. This guitar absolutely rocks! Sustains forever and sounds amazing - you won't be dissapointed.
The Dimarzio PAF's in this beauty sound terrific. The pickups are double cream but I have installed a set of aged covers on them. She plays great up and down the fretboard with great action and intonation. She is also super lightweight at approximately 8.5lbs! She does have some dent and scratches on the back of the body, neck and top but nothing out of the ordinary for a 36 year old.
The electronics have been upgraded to complete 1950's vintage correct wiring. The original circuit board will be included in the case.
Features:
Solid Birdseye Maple Two-Piece Top Solid One piece Mahogany back and Neck Rosewood Fingerboard (Looks like Brazilian but I'm not 100% sure) Full Lacquer finish Brass bridge saddles Lightweight Aluminum tailpiece 18 degree neck angle Original Dimarzio PAF's Fret Edge Binding Original Double Ring Tuners Original Lifton case
