For Sale: Farfisa Syntorchestra String Synthesizer
The Farfisa Syntorchestra is one of the most iconic synths in the krautrock domain, used prominently by Klaus Schulze and Cluster, among others. The Syntorchestra splits into two sections, strings (poly), and mono synth voices. Pair the strings with a Gerd Schulte Compact Phasing A phaser an you'll hit alpha centauri in no time. Say you are hoping for a more minimal pastoral vibe, then do some slow, hypnotic ivory tingling with the odd staccato piano running through your analog delay. The kraut tricks are endless with this bad boy.
The Syntorchestra is devilishly rare. I've owned this one for over 10 years, and it has been lovingly serviced by my tech, including power supply cap upgrade, and the switches and key contacts have been painstakingly cleaned. It features a hospital grade ac plug. My tech just calibrated it this month, so it should be good to go for sometime.
The switches occasionally produce a click sound when turned on, but this was the same on the only other syntorchestra I've played, so it could just be a design flaw. The switches and keys benefit from regular use. Otherwise, it is fully functional.
Cosmetically, the case shows some wear, but it is relatively clean.
I will provide exact packaged dimensions and weight upon sale. Shipping price is estimate only. I will provide accurate shipping cost, using your preferred courier--determined upon sale. I try my best to source cost free packaging, but in the event that boxes and materials (bubble wrap, foam) need to be purchased, I will only charge actual prices and work to find the best secure and cost-effective method.
