The simple explanation owes to Bel Canto's use of NCoretechnology – which employs fully discrete, self-oscillating Class Darchitecture with a fifth-order control loop to attain vanishingly low levelsof noise and distortion – and proprietary amplifiers based on Hypex NC500module and SMPS 1200 power supply. DC-coupled to prevent any possibledegradation caused by coupling capacitors, REF600M also utilizeshigh-performance stages with local feedback and a first stage that supplies amajority of the gain with a high input impedance and low output impedance todrive the output power stage. In addition, the unit's trademarkedImpedance Optimized Input Stage is a balanced high common mode rejection,low-output impedance driver that proves crucial to the overall performance andrefined dynamics.
