Connectivity & Compatibility

Note; The Orpheus connects to a computer via FireWire (IEEE 1394a) and supports compatible Windows PCs and older macOS systems.

FireWire compatibility is essential. Newer Macs running macOS Ventura (13) or later do not support the Orpheus through the standard macOS FireWire audio pathway. Suitable legacy hardware, drivers and operating-system compatibility should be confirmed before purchasing.

The unit can also operate as a standalone converter/preamp once configured, using its digital I/O.
