Vintage Analog Sony Transformers w. Mullard Diode Distortion Mixing Mastering Exciting Audio Music

Vintage stereo transformer pair from a very old Sony mixer!

As you’ll hear in the video on TheYouTube if you search for: Vintage Analog Sony Transformers w. Mullard Diode Distortion Mixing Mastering Exciting Audio Music

- these amazing old boys can go from gentle analog saturation to full blown “Neve explode the room” crazy and all points in between.

Those really old compressors everyone loves for room smashing …. that’s what these guys do when you push into them (we use logic’s i/o utility for this). It’s every Quentin Tarantino film chase scene on steroids. Not only for drums ….. for placing audio in a 3d space from vocals to guitars to bass to synths - these guys are amazing, and they give some of the smoothest vocal distortion I’ve ever heard. I’ve got all the plugins (mix engineer crack) - and none of them come close. Plugs may have easy recall - but if you want next level audio - especially with live vocals and instruments, you’re gonna have to take the time to render stuff out in real world audio gear land.

This is the way.

I added a switchable passive diode distortion circuit (vintage Mullard OAZ diodes!) to enhance audio even further which turns this rack into a superb creative device as well as a mix / bus sweetener.

Run your vocals / bass / synths and drums etc hard into these babies to hear them blow up in the most satisfyingly musical way … it’s a thing of beauty!

Balanced jacks in and out.

These transformer racks of mine are the cheapest - easiest ways to get classic analog console dynamics and saturation into your mixes and masters … give your music a little kiss!
