Seymour Duncan AJB-5B Active 5-String Bridge Pickup For Jazz Bass

The AJB-5B is a professional-grade active bridge pickup engineered for five-string jazz basses that demand articulate, controlled output and transparent tone. Built with a fully discrete, ultra-quiet preamp and vacuum wax potting for squeal-free operation, this pickup excels in both studio tracking and live performance where clarity and definition matter most.

Tone & Active Electronics

The ceramic magnet and blade pole piece design deliver focused midrange response with excellent string definition across all five strings. The fully discrete, 9-volt active preamp offers low impedance output with exceptional dynamic range, capturing the nuance of fingerstyle technique without noise or coloration.

Design & Compatibility

The blade pole pieces accommodate both four- and five-string instruments with precision, while the 3.10″ (78.7mm) string spacing accommodation fits modern jazz bass bridge spacing standards. Vacuum wax potting eliminates microphonic feedback, ensuring clean performance in any environment.
