________________________________
A field-tested Jazz Bass born from real-world use! SONIC was founded in 1983 as a brand of Ram Trick Company, built on the philosophy of being a "tool used in the field" — recording studios and live venues. With a flexible, player-focused design approach and consistent build quality, SONIC continues to earn support from a wide range of musicians.
This is a 2019 SJB 4st Model. It combines a traditional JB-style alder body and rosewood fingerboard with SONIC's original turbo circuit, plus a 21-fret fingerboard with binding for modern playability. The neck is designed thin and slim, allowing comfortable fretting even for players with smaller hands, offering excellent handling and a pleasant feel.
The tone is bright with fast attack, delivering a cutting Jazz Bass sound that stays present in a mix and works across a wide range of genres.
Pulling up the tone pot engages "TURBO J-BASS" mode. Unlike battery-powered preamp circuits, this is a passive circuit that wires the two single-coil pickups in series, functioning like a humbucker (note: the rear volume does not function while in Turbo mode). Engaging it emphasizes the midrange for a more powerful, forward-pushing sound — great for bass solos or moments that call for extra presence.
A truly field-ready instrument built for practical use!
