12" vintage voiced 8 ohm guitar speaker. I assume it came from an Albion combo or 2x12. Based in UK company led by Steve Grindrod who was to do with Marshall and Vox previously. They made decent amps and cabs and also were branded as Wharfedale at one point. Decent speaker and loud 80 watts. The VSR in the name apparently stands for "Vintage Smooth Response". Supposed to be like Greenbacks but louder. Very as if by valve sounding in my opinion (i use solid state amps). Like a warm campfire feel. i`m sure this is a gem for someone - but for me i`m going for a more vivid modern sound approach so didn't suit what i`m trying to do. I really haven't heard a speaker like this before though at this wattage. Its got tons of power and doesn't hiss but just makes everything sound like playing through a 50s/60s vintage valve amp in my opinion. Very Decent, just not what I want.
