Silvertone Guitars and Amps

Sears, Roebuck and Co. introduced the Silvertone brand in 1915 expanding the product line to guitars in the 1930s—the first solid body guitar appearing in 1954. The 1457 amp-in-a-case model built by Danelectro for Silvertone paved the way for amplifiers like the 1482 and 1483. Originally budget-priced instruments, Silvertone’s like the 1448 have become increasingly popular with enthusiasts like Beck and Jimmy Page.
