Music Man

Music Man kicked off production in the mid-'70s as a collaboration between Leo Fender and two former Fender employees. The firm initially offered a lineup of guitars, basses and amps which most notably included the now iconic StingRay Bass. These basses were some of the first production models to include active electronics and earned the endorsement of players like John Deacon of Queen and eventually Flea. The company was purchased in the mid-'80s by Ernie Ball who continued the legacy under the Ernie Ball Music Man brand name.
