So, I will first tell you about this particular gem:IT HAS JUST BEEN FULLY INSPECTED/SERVICED AND IS READY FOR A NEW HOME! The following services were just done, which cost us over $350! IF you find another one for less than what ours is selling for, and since most of the used ones out there, that are supposed to be "fully functional", turn out NOT to be; you will then need to find someone who would work on these (which is very hard nowadays), and then who knows how much it would cost to make it fully functional??! Especially since these synths are now over 36 years old, which means unless they had just been serviced, hardly any of them would be fully functional; and CONDITION IS EVERYTHING!SERVICES DONE:Full inspectionLoad tested for 2 hoursMain/Mother Board serviced/restoredAll POTs servicedAll LEDs replacedKey-bed servicedVOL POT replacedStrum servicedAll switches servicedAll contacts cleanedAll buttons servicedCleaned inside and outPERSONAL OPINION: After trying it on/having fun with it (the best part about what I do with every single synth I get/have 😄), these are my professional insights/opinions about this magnificent machine:Omnichord is a rare/very sought-after invention from a long time ago, that is still relevant to this day! This masterpiece is something so unique and genius, that nothing like it has ever existed. It is a very unique instrument with tons of character; that is one of the reasons it is adored by both musicians and collectors. In the nostalgia category, it's off the scales! It will take you back to a wonderful time, full of happy memories...In the line of Suzuki Omnichords, this one is the most sought after; mainly because it has MIDI! A true classic/collectible item that will keep going up in value for the rest of its life. I truly enjoy and adore this magnificent synth... This gem would make you, or the person you are buying this for, VERY happy! 1989 saw two new Omnichords warping in, once again incorporating significant improvements. The cabinet shape is updated looking rather like the Enterprise Saucer section and suspicously the Owners Manual even included the theme music to Star Trek, complete with lyrics by Gene Roddenberry for you to sing along. Maybe try 'singing' it the William Shatner way?Ergonomics are carefully reconsidered and Chord buttons are moved to the front and angled slightly for more comfortable play.The strumplate is set at a much more natural angle which suits wrist and arm movement. Although the strumplate uses the same touch responsive membrane technology as the OM36 and OM84 the shape is updated and this changed little up to the current QC1.One very cool new feature is an optional Strap which came with two strap buttons. Pre-drilled holes on are located on either end of the Omnichord body for fitting of the buttons. Now the Omnichordist can hang around at the front of the stage with the cool kids and their guitars.Replacing the OM84 is the Grey coloured OM200M which has 84 playable chords along with a 19 note Piano keyboard (played using lighter chord buttons).The OM200M also retains the chord computer form its predecessor and has the same 10 Styles and 10 Sounds of the OM100.The major improvement over all previous models is the "M". Unlike 'M' in the Bond movies we do know what this one stands for....it is of course, MIDI. The OM200M has a single MIDI OUT port for controlling external sound modules or recording into a sequencer. Or....and we are not sure if Suzuki intended it....we banged our 200M into an arranger keyboard, put on a wig and selected the Status Quo Rock Rhythm. Yeah! READ ALL ABOUT THIS DEVICE BELOW! Mileage, body, functionality, extra options, service history, past use... and one of the most important ones is CONDITION, which is everything! I have searched hard, hand-picked and collected only the best of the best that are in pristine condition (majority of them); and then had them professionally inspected, serviced/repaired (if needed), reprogrammed/restored (if needed), detailed... There's definitely value in that. On average, we spend about 5 hours on every single keyboard, before offering it for sale, and if they're not serviced, or if they don't pass the inspection, WE DON’T SELL THEM!
