The Peluso P-84 Small Diaphragm Microphone Kit is factory matched and delivers classic pencil mic performance with a smooth, musical response that works beautifully across a wide range of recording applications. Ideal for your stereo recording applications! Inspired by vintage small diaphragm designs, the P-84 offers a balanced tonal character with excellent transient detail, making it an outstanding choice for acoustic instruments, drum overheads, piano, and detailed stereo recording techniques. Built around a high-quality cardioid capsule and transformer-coupled output stage, the Peluso P-84 captures sources with clarity and precision while maintaining a natural warmth that avoids the brittle edge often found in modern small diaphragm condensers. Its focused pickup pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection, helping isolate your source while preserving a realistic sense of space. The P-84 excels in both studio and location recording environments, offering consistent performance whether used as a single microphone or as a matched pair for stereo applications such as XY, ORTF, or spaced pair techniques. Its fast transient response makes it especially well-suited for capturing the nuance of stringed instruments, percussion, and cymbals with accuracy and depth. Hand-built in the USA with Peluso’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, the P-84 is a reliable and versatile tool for engineers seeking a refined small diaphragm microphone with vintage-inspired character and modern performance.Peluso P-84 Small Diaphragm Microphone SpecificationsCapsule Type: Condenser Pressure GradientFrequency Range: 20Hz/20KhzPolar Pattern: CardioidSensitivity: 15 mv/paImpedance: 200 ohmsSPL: 142 dBEquivalent Noise: 14 dB(A)Power Requirements: Phantom - 48v +/- 4vCurrent Consumption: < 3.0 MASize: 22mm x 124 mmWeight: 130 gPeluso P-84 Small Diaphragm Microphone Kit Includes2x Peluso P-84 Small Diaphragm Microphones2x Cardioid Capsule2x Wood Box2x Hard Mount2x Shock MountStereo BarFlight CaseManufacturer Warranty
