The Revival TREM is the first-ever effects pedal to faithfully reproduce the power tube bias tremolo found in classic amplifiers from the late 1950s to the early 1960s. It not only delivers a tremolo effect but also provides a gdelicioush Brown Fender-style overdrive tone, just like a real bias tremolo. Like all ORIGIN EFFECTS pedals, the Revival TREM is built entirely with analog components and designed to replicate the signal path of a tube amplifier. Thanks to this, it successfully recreates a uniquely musical and dynamically responsive bias tremolo. It also offers the wide sound palette?from pristine clean tones to overdrive?found in the Brown Fender Deluxe. Dynamically Responsive Tremolo The smooth, deep, and rich bias tremolo sound is considered by many to be the pinnacle of amp-based tremolo. Unlike optical or VCA-based tremolo designs that attenuate the signal itself, bias tremolo achieves a unique and magical dynamic quality by varying the bias voltage supplied to the ampfs power tubes. While typical tremolo effect pedals impose the tremolo effect on the entire guitar performance, the Revival TREM does not do this. As the power ampfs gain increases, loud notes and chords can be played through the tremolo effect. Digging deeper, it is also possible to gradually fade in the tremolo effect as the sound fades out, or to soften the attack of your picking. Revival TREMfs amp-like circuitry achieves these effects through the complex interaction of various elements such as gain, bias voltage, dynamics, and harmonics.
