Overview
The Mojave MA-300 large diaphragm tube mic, essentially a souped-up multi-pattern version of the popular MA-200 designed by David Royer, sports a crisp and modern sound that works great for any sound source that needs a little extra breath and edge. A NOS 5840 subminiature tube and K67-style capsule give the MA-300 a beautiful presence boost that can sit lead vocals, drums and strummed acoustic instruments right on top of any mix without the need for EQ. In additional to pattern switching on the power supply, the MA-300 also features a -15dB pad and low-frequency rolloff, making it that much more useful for loud sources and close-mic applications.
