About this listing
This Mapex MPX steel snare brings a bright, cutting voice to the center of your kit. Its steel shell offers the crisp attack and lively resonance that make metal snares a natural match for punchy backbeats and accented rimshots.
For drummers looking to add contrast to a wood-shell setup, steel delivers a distinctly ringing character. Let that resonance breathe for an open sound, or experiment with head selection, tuning, and dampening to shape a tighter response for your music.
