About this listing
Anyone who's spent time with Keeley's Halo or Halo Core delays knows the reverb tail woven into that sound is a big part of what makes it Andy Timmons's signature — and it's not something a standard reverb pedal reproduces. The Nocturne isolates that reverb character on its own, stripped of the delay repeats, and it was good enough to win a Premier Guitar Premier Gear Award on release.Rather than the usual hall/room/shimmer set, Nocturne offers three modes of its own: Nocturne (Andy's signature sound, built from the Halo algorithm with the delay crosstalk removed so only the reverberant bloom remains), Spring (a classic tank-and-combo spring reverb, from vintage surf tones to studio character), and Plate (modelled on a 1970s EMT-140 stereo tube plate reverb — sweet, understated decay).Four main knobs — Tone, Reverb Level, Decay, Modulation (which controls spring "drip" character in Spring mode) — keep the front panel simple. Holding the Reverb Mode button while adjusting Decay or Tone unlocks Pre-Delay (0–250ms) and a High Pass Filter respectively. A Preset footswitch toggles between live (WYSIWYG) control and stored presets — up to 72 via MIDI, 24 per mode — and power-up combinations set trails, wet/dry routing (including a Left-Wet/Right-Dry "VH Studio Mode"), and momentary or latching remote switching.Runs 9V–18V DC centre-negative at 130mA. Designed as a genuine companion to the Halo Core — delay on one pedal, reverb on the other, together forming Andy Timmons's full ambient rig in stereo.
