About this listing
The Ibanez RGD721FA is built for modern players who need an extended-range guitar that stays tight, clear, and comfortable under demanding playing conditions. Its longer scale, fast Wizard neck, powerful DiMarzio pickups, and stable fixed-bridge design make it especially well suited for down-tuned metal, progressive styles, and technical playing.
Features:
26.5-inch scale length: Provides greater string tension than a standard scale, keeping low notes tight, defined, and responsive when using lower tunings.
Seven-string configuration: Adds an extended low range for heavier riffs, expanded chord voicings, and more creative freedom without sacrificing the familiar upper six strings.
Wizard II-7 five-piece panga panga and walnut neck: Combines a thin, fast-playing profile with excellent rigidity for comfortable technical playing and dependable stability.
Macassar ebony fingerboard: Produces a quick response, strong attack, tight lows, and rich sustain while providing a smooth surface for fast fretting.
24 jumbo frets: Make bends, vibrato, and fast lead work easier while providing a full two-octave range on every string.
Flamed maple top: Gives the guitar a striking, high-end appearance that stands out under the Stained Wine Red Burst Flat finish.
Layered ash and okoume body: Combines the clarity and brightness of ash with the warmth, strong low mids, and sustain of okoume for a balanced modern voice.
DiMarzio Fusion Edge 7 humbuckers: Deliver powerful output, crisp highs, and a tight, compressed low end that remains clear and articulate under heavy distortion.
Coil-tap switch: Expands the available tonal range with brighter, more open sounds for clean passages, lighter rhythm work, and layered guitar parts.
Gibraltar Standard III-7 fixed bridge: Improves vibration transfer and sustain while providing a stable, comfortable surface for precise picking and palm muting.
Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads: Improve tuning stability and make string changes quicker and easier.
Luminescent side dots: Make fret positions easier to see on dark stages and in low-light performance environments.
Deep RGD body cutaways: Provide comfortable access to the highest frets for leads, extended chords, and technical playing.
Factory down-tuned setup: Comes tuned one full step down to A standard, allowing players to explore heavier sounds right out of the box.
With its aggressive extended-range voice, fast playability, and premium hardware, the RGD721FA delivers the definition and stability modern heavy guitarists need while maintaining enough tonal versatility for much more than metal.
