Overview

Lifton Manufacturing Company began making cases from instruments in 1920. By the '50s many of Gibson's guitars shipped with Lifton cases which used fine leather and plush pink or orange interior lining. As the '59 Les Paul Standard is one of the most valuable guitars on the market, the Lifton case built for this guitar ranks as the most valuable case.

Years of Production: 1952 - 1960 (same as original Les Paul run)
