About this listing
A Gibson ES-150 from 1941 with original case, straight out of a collection. An absolutely wonderful guitar. One thing that is extremely cool about this guitar (Among other things.) is that it has the P-13 pickup, (with adjustable pole pieces.) This pickup is an early version of the P-90 pickup and is really a testament to Gibson's rapid electric development between 1940 and 1942. Another thing that sets this guitar apart from the rest of the pack, is how extremely easy it is to play. The string height is super low and the neck is dead straight. So this one is just pure joy to play, just a wonderful guitar.Condition: A couple of cracks fixed by our luthier(see pictures). Beautiful finish checkings. Frets are original and has some wear to them but there’s plenty of meat left on them. The back of the neck has some wear to it and I can understand why because this guitar is incredible to play. Tuners are not original but are nicely patinated and certainly look the part. Otherwise you have an original rosewood bridge base topped with a Bigsby aluminium bridge. The pickguard is original and so are the bakelite knobs and trapeze tail piece.
