About this listing
ser number 862605 1967 Gibson ES-125CD Original Pickups, ( I added shims, one neck, one bridge).Has the original pickguard and bracket (i polished off the tarnish) The original bridge that came on the guitar was in bad shape and was a combo of parts from at 2 bridges, it was in poor shape so I replaced with this nice Zig Zag style from WD parts the original is included. The original tuners are also included but were in bad shape and barely worked so you have new Kluson replicas with upgraded buttons, I din't pry out the old tuner collars because they were in there very tightly, but I will include the new collars if you choose to swap them. Neck width at the 1st fret is 1.63" or 1 5/8", at 12th fret is 2.01" or 2" This is considered "narrow" compared to the standard ES-175 FYI. Body depth is 3 3/8" at the rim and 16" wide. (standard size). 7.2lbsThe pickups and electronics are original as far as I know and there's no issues with any of it. You can see there's NO major dings or chips except for the top right corner of the headstock a tiny impact. The finish on the neck is excellent. No bumps or bruises. The action is 1.50 mm treble side 1.75 on the bass side 12th fret. Very minor wear on the original frets (you can see the lacquer on the fret ends) just enough to know it was played, no buzzing or fretting out. Has a 12-52 D'Addario chromes flatwound set on there.Comes with an extra pickguard and bracket. If you've never played a guitar from this era this was considered a "student model" ES-175 with dot inlays and simpler binding. The sound is the same. Laminated top but it is not quiet, plenty of acoustic sound for practicing just not bright like a carved top guitar. It gives that classic fat percussive jazz tone that will put a smile on your face. It comes with it's original Gibson case.
