I am offering a Gibson CS '59 Les Paul Standard Lee Roy Parnell from 2019, a handcrafted at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee (USA), signature reissue model of American country singer and guitarist Lee Roy Parnell based on the coveted 1959 Les Paul with selected mahogany body (4.06kg total weight!), spectacularly figured flame maple top, set-in mahogany neck with long neck tenon and chunky Lee Roy Parnell Custom '59 neck profile, bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with cellulose trapezoid inlays, two warm-sounding Kloppmann HB 59 humbucker pickups (upgrade!) of the highest quality, Gibson No Wire ABR-1 bridge with aluminum stopbar and Kluson Deluxe Vintage Tulip tuners in a beautifully faded Abilene Sunset Burst high-gloss nitro finish in excellent condition, including brown Gibson CS Lifton luxury hardshell case, manufacturer's papers, and professional setup with 10-gauge Elixir strings.Born in Texas (USA) in 1956, Lee Roy Parnell is one of only a few artists who have had the honor of having their own signature model tailor-made by the Gibson Custom Shop. Influenced by the country rock of the Allman Brothers, Lee Roy has enjoyed numerous successes and top hits since the late 1980s as a representative of a rock-oriented, modern country style. His expressive slide playing in particular has become his trademark.Based on a '59 Les Paul Standard Reissue, this special signature model comes with a hand-selected maple top with sharp flame grain (!), which, depending on the incidence of light, shows lush three-dimensional flames along the entire top and is exceptionally beautifully highlighted in the special Abilene Sunset Burst finish. The one-piece mahogany neck is deeply embedded in the neck pocket (long neck tenon) using historically accurate hide glue, ensuring extremely efficient sound transmission, which is reflected acoustically in incredible sustain from the headstock to the body. The Indian rosewood fingerboard, wildly patterned in numerous shades of brown, also features beautifully aged cellulose trapezoid inlays, and the single-ply cream bindings successfully round off the overall picture.When plugged into an amp, the professionally upgraded HB 59 humbucker set from Andreas Kloppmann's boutique pickup workshop delivers warm, singing vintage Paula sounds at their finest with its melodic singing qualities, complex rich overtones, and extremely dynamic sound behavior in classic P.A.F. style.
