Exceptionally clean 2002 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Reissue, two-pickup version.This guitar has been very rarely played and is in exceptional condition for a 24-year-old instrument. The ebony finish is extremely clean, with no buckle rash or significant dings or gouges. The gold hardware shows remarkably little fading or wear. Neck, fingerboard and frets are also in excellent condition.The guitar has the substantial ’50s-style neck profile. Actual neck-depth measurements are approximately .909" (23.1 mm) at the 1st fret and 1.000" (25.4 mm) at the 12th fret. Frets are medium-jumbo rather than the very low “Fretless Wonder” style.Includes the original Gibson Custom Shop case, also in excellent condition, Certificate of Authenticity and original Gibson checklist.A particularly well-preserved example from the final year of the 1993–2002 Historic Collection version of the ’57 Les Paul Custom.
