Dave Friedman has been designing and building guitar rigs
for the stars since the early nineties. After two decades of modding amplifiers
and consulting for other well-known amplifier companies, Dave finally brought
his talent to a new line of production amps under his name Friedman Amplification.Probably the most important of all the Friedman artists is Alice in Chains main man Jerry Cantrell. Having spent time honing and perfecting the rig that delivers Jerry's dynamic and at times crushing tone, through their previous collaboration, the JJ-100, they decided to deliver that same tonal magic into a stage friendly 20-watt monster, the JJ-Junior.The JJ-Junior still gives you the same 2-channel, EL-powered
tone that has carved out a legendary place in rock. All of the saturated,
complex harmonic overtones are still lurking inside, as well as the AC30-like
cleans. At 20 watts, the JJ-Junior lets
you take the stage, studio, or jam session with total confidence.The JJ has a host of incredible modern features including an
internal load and cab simulated XLR out. Dave Friedman designed this circuit to
rival the most intricate IRs to give you a crystal clear signal to send to the
FOH or for use in the studio. The JJ Junior also allows you to play
"silently," meaning you can safely play the amp WITHOUT having a
speaker cabinet connected. The XLR output includes a ground-lift, level, and centre/edge
of speaker cone simulation switches.At the heart of the JJ Junior combo is a 16-ohm, 12
Celestion G12M 65 Creamback speaker that delivers the bass, mid response and
signature tone of Jerry Cantrell.If you dig Cantrell, this amp is essential but you better believe
this is more than just another signature amp, this is a turbo charged tone
machine to rival them all!
