Here is a cool vintage FujiGen-built ‘72 reissue ash Telecaster from Fender Japan. It's a great old FujiGen built MIJ E-Serial from around the 1984-87 period. It has a good quality lightweight Sen ash body with some very distinctive grain, a maple neck and 7.25 radius maple fingerboard. Another thing I like about this one is that it looks like a very early attempt by Fender Japan at bookmatching a top. It has the correct '72 RI 3 steel saddles, black three-ply pickguard, 2 string trees, Gotoh tuners & ‘F’ stamped bridge plate etc. It's very resonant due to the lightweight old ash and feels great to play, plenty of Tele twang and some nice bite with the TL vintage pickups. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. It's a decent weight for an 80s ash Tele at 3.68kg. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs, routing or modifications. I wont go into describing every mark due to the age but it has plenty of bumps and scuffs as you'd imagine for a mid 80's Tele. And it looks all the better for it. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking. Complete with period correct Fender Japan softcase. A very cool '72 RI Fender FujiGen MIJ Tele.Gas Station Guitars is a UK Ltd company, and we proudly offer a no-questions 14-day refund policy on all instruments. We have extensive experience shipping guitars safely worldwide, with professional packing methods developed to protect both hardcase and softcase instruments in transit.
