Special edition “Tele-bration” Telecaster, one of 500 built by Fender USA to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its Telecaster guitar. The body has a laminated bamboo (“Lamboo”) top and back over an alder body core. The body is finished in gloss lacquer. The maple neck is a modern “C’ shape finished in gloss urethane. The maple fretboard has a 9.5” radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. 25.5” scale. 1.685” nut width. Synthetic bone string nut. The neck and bridge pickups are “Hot-Tele” single-coil with Alnico 3 magnets. 3-position blade pickup switch. One master volume control and one “Greasebucket” tone circuit control (rolls off high without adding bass). Vintage-style bridge with accessory bridge cover. Chrome hardware. Tortoise shell pickguard and binding. Made in the USA. Excellent condition. Purchased from Guitar Center in 2014 as an addition to a guitar collection, it’s seen very little play, has never been gigged, and has been stored in a smoke-free home. Its original Fender Deluxe hard-shell case is included. The guitar on it’s own weighs 8lbs. 4oz. according to my shipping scale.
