1958 Fender Model 5F4 Super-Amp! Absolutely amazing amp and quite a rare one! Roughly 28 watts of beautiful tweed tone! This is the latest iteration of the circuit design, utilizing 6L6’s vs the earlier model 5E4 that used 6V6’s. Got this one in as a complete untouched original chassis. No cab, no speakers. Everything else was right! All original transformers, caps and resistors, authenticating it as the rare and elusive late model Super-Amp! Then the resto began. New original spec, Super-Amp laquered tweed cab from MojoTone, I installed two vintage 1967 Jensen C10Q’s with original cones from my private collection as in my opinion there’s no greater pairing for these old tweeds! New badge installed. On to the chassis, grounded power was added, death cap removed, and the original electrolytics were swapped for Sprague and F&T capacitors and that’s all it needed! Sounds incredible, probably one of my favorite tweeds I’ve ever heard. Gets to the break up quick! Incredibly sweet and full tone all the way through the dial. Turn it to 12 and it’s ridiculous! Whoever ends up with this one will have a new favorite amplifier!
