A real 1975 Strat, a light one, and an honest one.This is a 1975 USA Fender Stratocaster in black with a maple board — the David Gilmour / The Edge "Black Strat" for sure. It's under 8 lbs, with its original grey-bottom 1975 single-coils still in it, and a recent refret and professional plek. I purchased it on Reverb (you can find the old listing) in 2022 and used it on just a few studio projects.This is a player's guitar and it plays amazing. This is due to a large part to the fact that the previous owner had it refretted, and I had it Plek'd and set up professionally (Mike Lull's Guitar Works in Bellevue, WA — receipt is in the photos).Included: Original hard-shell case, original owner's manual, and every original part that I still have that's been replaced (switch, nut, (see below). What's Original, What's Not:- Neck and Body: original- Pickups:original- Finish: I'm pretty sure the black is a refinish, based on the overspray in neck pocket and some of the dings - I think the original color was white, but I'm no expert. To me, it looks good and has aged well, though, and the refinish was long enough ago, that all the checking and aging is on the black.- Tuners: replaced; originals are not included.- Volume pot: replaced; original is not included.- Nut: replaced; the broken original is included in case. - Switch: 5-way installed for usable in-between tones; the **original 3-way is included** in the case.i included a link to a thing i did as a tribute to some friends who had passed - sorry for the buzz-kill - but you do get to hear the guitar doing the Robbie Robertson half-cocked wah thing.
