About this listing
ESP LTD KH-V Kirk Hammett Signature Guitar in Metallic Gold
The KH-V is a neck-thru instrument built to absorb the physical demands of aggressive lead work and complex soloing without fatigue. Its V-shaped body sits balanced and comfortable across the torso, while the extra-thin U-shaped neck makes rapid position shifts feel effortless—designed explicitly to match Kirk Hammett's exacting specifications for metal performance.
Playability & Feel
The extra-thin U-shaped neck combined with 24 extra-jumbo frets on a macassar ebony fingerboard creates a responsive platform for fast, articulate playing across the entire 25.5" scale. The molded nut, LTD locking tuning machines, and Tonepros locking TOM-style bridge with string-thru design lock in your setup so tuning stability never becomes a distraction during intense playing sessions.
Tone & Electronics
Two EMG Bone Breaker pickups—a ceramic bridge (BB-B) and alnico 5 neck (BB-N)—deliver high-output aggression with clarity and sustain built for metal. The active electronics configuration includes volume, tone, and three-way pickup selector controls, giving straightforward access to everything from cutting rhythm tones to searing lead voices.
