We’re really excited about the Fuzzrocious Bongripper — not just because Bongripper bassist Ron Petzke and guitarist Nick Dellacroce actually work at Reverb, although that’s part of it, but because this pedal is really, really cool. Fuzzrocious worked in collaboration with Bongripper to release this apocalypse-bringing parallel distortion pedal, and it does its job incredibly well: it gives you killer doom metal distortion in a box.
The Bongripper contains parallel overdrive and distortion circuits that you can use separately or blend together in any manner you like. Essentially the Fuzzrocious Demon overdrive and Cat Tail distortion in one, the Bongripper serves up some seriously thick, heavy distortion along with a bright, aggressive drive.
Volume and gain knobs give you control over each circuit, and a central mix knob blends the overdrive and distortion together. The tone, for all intents and purposes, is set; it’s tailored specifically to what the fellows of Bongripper typically dial in, making the Bongripper pedal perfect for fans of the band or those who just really like killer doom metal tones.
