Most doubler pedals give themselves away with a slightly-too-perfect relationship between the two sides of the signal — the mechanical tell of a simple delay-and-modulate trick. KMA's Geminus takes a different approach: a neural network with onset detection introduces the kind of micro-variation in timing, pitch and feel that two genuinely separate takes would have, rather than one take copied and nudged.
Geminus grew directly out of KMA's Endgame, where the True Double Tracker technology first appeared as one of four functional blocks. Enough players wanted the doubling engine on its own that KMA spun it out into this compact, focused unit — and added a Pitch control the Endgame doesn't have, a three-position toggle that layers extra modulation onto the base doubling for anything from subtle thickening to unstable, swirling movement.
Controls are TDT Width (stereo spread of the doubled signal), Time (how tight or loose the AI-detected doubling feels), Pitch, and Level (balance between doubled and dry signal, with automatic panning compensation to keep output volume consistent). A Mode toggle sets stereo in/stereo out, mono in/stereo out, or mono in/mono out, and bypass is switchable between buffered (default) and true via an internal DIP switch.
Draws a light 100mA from a 9V DC centre-negative supply. Works well early in the chain for width before time-based effects, or late as a final widening stage ahead of a cab sim — and it's the natural companion if you're already running an Endgame and want the same doubling on a second board.
