The Fender American Vintage II series delivers a faithful recreation of the instruments that altered the course of musical history. By 1963, Fender had paired the punch and focus of an alder body with the added warmth of a round-lam rosewood fingerboard, refining the unmistakable Tele® snap and twang. The American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster features Pure Vintage ’63 Telecaster® pickups, a triple threaded-steel saddle bridge and a comfortable “C”-shape maple neck to recreate the tone and feel of the original. True to 1963 production, it includes clay dot inlays with narrow spacing at the 12th fret and a 7.25" radius fingerboard. This model stands as a direct descendant of the original Fenders, built with exacting attention to detail down to the last screw.
